Recall explores the ways in which memory is embedded in objects and places that once inhabited our lives. By reexamining old possessions and revisiting familiar places, we revive the past, but also must contend with the way in which memory transforms and alters reality. As a community deeply invested in the production of ideas, objects, and places alike, Pratt Institute is a compelling site for exploring this complex dynamic. Recall is a participatory public art project that takes the ideas and objects contributed by the Pratt community and transforms them into a means of mapping the physical and intangible memories that make this place unique.
