The Annual Rings is a series of works on paper that traces the development of another sculpture Host, a tree stump made of metal flatware. The paper placed over the “growing” sculpture was rubbed with graphite, revealing drawings of concentric organic forms that call to mind the passage of time and show the particularities of each carefully selected utensil.
