Jean Shin: Dress Code
A site-specific installation, Dress Code is made up of the deconstructed military uniforms of veterans and recently naturalized citizens’ clothing arranged into a mosaic-like, fabric mural. The project reflects the diverse community of people—be they recent immigrants, government workers or veterans—who pass through the federal building on a daily basis and, in the process, reveal the many faces of American identity.
