Created with horizontal strips of found audiotape, Intervals explores chance through endless repetition and variation utilizing an outmoded technology. Much like the process of sound editing, the artist physically cuts and pastes together these magnetic tapes to form new configurations and compositions. The white space of the page is balanced by the alternating sides of the same magnetic tape that form the rhythms of black and brown lines.
