For this series of relief prints, Shin has taken her own blouse, pair of jeans, and coat and deconstructed them into fabric cutouts and seams. By gluing the pieces onto plates that are then inked, the clothes are literally put through the press. These prints reference the notion of pressing clothes in laundry and dry-cleaning processes. Collectively these collagraphs make up a self-portrait.
