Jean Shin: Anthropocene Fossils

As part of the public art project, the community of Louisville engaged in a series of clean-up events picking up debris floating down the Riverfront. These plastic vessels with their colorful voids were embedded into the historical path. Like the ancient fossil fuels across the River, this petroleum-based waste has already made an irreversible impact on our environment and is perhaps our unintended legacy.
